Team Profile
Sian has undertaken the role of practice manager/operations manager in both high street and commercial law practices for over 25 years’ and has over 40 years’ working in legal services. Sian has an in-depth knowledge of the practical issues which arise in law firms on a day to day basis and offers a practical approach and solutions.
Having also qualified as a Lexcel assessor/consultant and Specialist Quality Mark auditor, Sian can empathise with and assist firms to achieve legal compliance and maintenance with industry standards:
- SRA Standards & Regulations for Firms and Solicitors;
- Lexcel;
- Specialist Quality Mark (Legal Aid Agency);
- LawNet Quality Standard (ISO 9001);
- Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS); and
- Wills & Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS)
Focus:
- Risk & compliance management, to include drafting and reviewing policies, plans and procedures for industry standards and subsequent annual reassessments;
- Client care & file management, to include file reviewing and complaint handling;
- SRA Accounts Rules;
- Supervision & performance management;
- Anti-Money Laundering Regulations; and
- Data Protection & General Data Protection Regulation.
Fun Fact
Many years ago, she was in a quiz team with Mark Labbett (“The Beast” from The Chase). They won every quiz, and she didn’t have to answer any questions!
