Ameca Jones has three years’ experience as a Prison Officer, where she had to deal with challenging situations and a wide range of people on a daily basis. She became interested in the management, procedural and documentation side of the work which led her to her current position in cpm21 as an Assistant Consultant.
Up until then her previous experience had been in diverse roles across several areas, the most notable being a Lifeguard and a Hotel Duty Manager.
Ameca’s interest in sport from an early age resulted in her attaining her BSc in Sports and Exercise Science, and she is a fluent Welsh Speaker. She is currently supporting other consultants in solicitor firms with independent anti-money laundering audits, outsourced complaints handling and Conveyancing Quality Scheme procedures and she has recently qualified as a Law Society Lexcel Consultant. Her favourite task is complaints handling which she believes is far easier to deal with than some of the confrontations from her time as a Prison officer.
Fun Fact
As a child, Ameca was convinced that she had broken her wrist, but her parents thought she was trying to avoid a swimming event that she was entered into – she swam a full mile and completed the competition and begged her parents to take her to A&E, where X-rays revealed that she had in fact broken her wrist!
