Hannah Ménard

Team Profile

Hannah grew up in Cardiff where she was educated at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf, before obtaining an LLB from the University of Southampton.

Hannah subsequently qualified as a solicitor in Cardiff in 2007, specialising in Family Law at a large legal aid firm. During her time at the firm, Hannah managed a number of departments and was responsible for the firm’s contracts with the Legal Aid Agency, which included contracts to provide both face to face and telephone advice in the areas of Family, Employment, Housing, Debt and Welfare Benefits.

Hannah joined cpm21 as an Associate Consultant in 2013 and has built up an expertise in file reviews and assisting firms with compliance, including supporting both Lexcel and SQM audits. Hannah has also delivered training in a variety of areas including Wills & Inheritance Quality Scheme (WIQS), LAA contract compliance and the ‘Client Care and Professional Standards’ element of the Professional Skills Course.

Alongside her work at cpm21, Hannah has been working for the University of South Wales (USW) since 2016. Initially lecturing in legal practice, in May 2018 Hannah was appointed as the Director of the University’s Legal Advice Clinic, a student led, pro bono clinic offering legal advice to members of the public. Hannah is also a trustee of the Clinical Legal Education Organisation (CLEO) and in 2022 became Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of Legal Wales.

In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family (which includes two children and a dog), playing tennis, watching rugby and travelling.
