Michelle Clement

Michelle Clement is a former SRA AML Regulatory Manager with more than 15 years’ experience in regulated sectors. During her time at the SRA, she carried out hundreds of anti money laundering and sanctions inspections across firms of all sizes and drafted key pieces of SRA guidance, including the Client and Matter Risk Assessment Guidance and the Source of Funds and Source of Wealth Guidance, now used widely across the sector.

Michelle has spoken at national events including the Law Society’s Economic Crime Conference, and hosts The AML Clinic Podcast, where she discusses practical AML compliance challenges facing the legal sector with guests from across the profession. She also co-directs a Community Interest Company focused on early intervention for young people.
