Civil/Family Legal Aid - Temporary increase on POA limits from 4th August 2020

In order to assist firms with cash flow through these turbulent economic waters, the Legal Aid Agency has on 4th August 2020 increased the limits on Payment on Account claims under the Civil/Family Legal Aid Contract.

However, firms should act quickly over the remaining months of 2020 as the scheme is due to end on 31st January 2021.

You can during this period claim up to 80% of your Profit Costs instead of 75%.

For FAS Claims for family advocacy the limit is increased to 100% of Profit Costs.

Apparently, CCMS has been updated to accommodate the changes. New online guides about how to claim have been published.
